Hauling Spindrift with the 12 ton trailer. The trailer is let down the ramp on the end of the cable anchored to the truck. Once the boat is lined up, Matt uses the remote hydraulic control to raise the pads fore and aft, and support the boat on the trailer.
Then the winch on the tractor pulls the trailer back up the ramp, the trailer hitch is dropped onto the pin on the tractor, and the trailer is pulled from the water.
The boat weighs 9 US tons (18,000 lbs), approximately equivalent to 8 metric tons, or 8164 kilograms.
