The gorge from which Thunder Creek gets its name. The entire creek blasts through a deep, narrow gorge maybe 8 feet wide, and the noise can be heard a long way away.
I saw an ouzel fly into its nest on that right (west) side of the gorge here, up under the moss.
The gorge is a couple of miles below the bridge site.
