Driving across Route 302 in Vermont, a motorist coming the other way flashed his lights at me. We were way off in the woods where it wasn't likely there would be a cop. Just up the road I spotted this moose in the woods right next to the road!

Young male moose, note the horns growing in with the velvet on them. Note also the mangy patches of skin, presumably a result of the long snowy winter this year.
